Evaluation Process
Intake Interview Session with Parent- Without your child present, you (Parent/Guardian) will have an initial meeting with the psychologist to gather important information about your child's development, social history, and health. The Psychologist will review any previous evaluations and treatment plans to help understand your child's needs better.
One-on-One Evaluation with Child- The Psychologist will evaluate areas such as cognitive ability, emotional regulation, behavior, and learning. Depending on the circumstances, we may also gather input from teachers and other caregivers and review relevant records. This may take more than one session.
Follow-up Session- The Psychologist will share the results of the evaluation, answer your questions, and discuss recommendations for interventions or further treatments.

Can these results be used on my child's IEP?
There is a difference between medical and educational evaluations. While medical diagnoses can be transferred to an educational plan, an educational diagnosis may not always be covered for medical-based treatment. Our psychology team would determine a medical diagnosis that can be used in either setting.
